TALA 4/20/2006 01:32:00 AM
"TALA" is a tagalog word for star. When Jesus was born, a star guided the wise men to Bethlehem. It was there that they found the babe Jesus wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. The greatest light in the sky that night pointed to the humblest of place on earth, wherein lies the Savior of mankind. May our lives be like the "tala" of Bethlehem. May we lead people to come unto Christ by the lives we live.Saturday, April 15, 2006

HOPE 4/09/2006 10:44:00 PM
And what is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise. (Moro. 7: 41)Friday, April 07, 2006

CURATO 4/07/2006 11:57:00 AM
One of the finest and prettiest instructors I've had in UP Diliman. I love her approach to teaching. She didn't gave me a hard time taking down notes because every lesson is so comprehensively outlined. Very eloquent yet so pleasant with her students. I got a 5 from another professor when I first took Sociology 101 two sems ago. Miss Nicole Curato gave me a 1 for my performance last sem. I still don't think I deserve that much Miss Neeks! But thank you so much. =)
More power!
Here is an ambigram of your last name. =)

LEHI 4/03/2006 11:13:00 PM
This is one of the simplest ones i made. "Lehi" is a prophet that was commanded by the Lord to leave Jerusalem around 600 BC and go to what is now known as the American continent. An account of their sojourn is given in "The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ"

CHARITY 3/30/2006 02:42:00 PM
But charity is the pure loive of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him. (Moro. 7: 47)
GRACE 3/30/2006 02:38:00 PM
For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do. (2 Ne. 25: 23)Tuesday, March 28, 2006
BISHOP 3/28/2006 03:46:00 PM
One of the ordained offices in the Aaronic priesthood is that of bishop. (D & C 20:67) Those so ordained and set apart to serve either in the Presiding Bishopric or as ward bishops are called to preside over the Aaronic priesthood. A ward bishop is the president of the Aaronic priesthood in his ward and is also the president of the priests quorum. (D & C 107:87-88) The office of a bishop is also an appendage "belonging unto the high priesthood." (D & C 84:29)
In his Aaronic priesthood capacity a bishop deals primarily with temporal concerns (D&C 107:68); as the presiding high priest in his ward, however, he presides over all ward affairs and members. A bishop is a common judge in Israel (D & C 107:74); it is his right to have the gift of discernment, the power to discern all other spiritual gifts, "lest there shall be any among you professing and yet be not God." (D & C 46:27.)
"A bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers." (Tit. 1:7-9; 1 Tim. 3:1-7.) (Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, 2d ed. [Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1966], 89.)
PATRIARCH 3/28/2006 03:17:00 PM
One of the ordained offices in the Melchizedek Priesthood is that of a patriarch or evangelist. D & C 107:39.) This office grows out of and is an appendage to the higher priesthood. (D & C 107:5.) The office of patriarch to the Church is conferred as a result of lineage and worthiness; stake patriarchs are chosen and ordained by the apostles without respect to lineage. Patriarchs are also high priests. Their special priestly assignment is to give patriarchal blessings to members of the Church, but they can also perform any duty of a high priest, seventy, elder, or holder of the Aaronic Priesthood.
In addition to ordained patriarchs, there are also natural patriarchs. Every holder of the higher priesthood who has entered into the patriarchal order of celestial marriage — thereby receiving for himself the blessings of the patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — is a natural patriarch to his posterity.
Even in the eyes of the world, the great spiritual leaders, who in the main lived before the days of Moses, are known as patriarchs because of their status as heads or princes of their families. It is probably in this sense that Peter spoke of "the patriarch David" (Acts 2:29), and that Stephen designated the sons of Jacob as "the twelve patriarchs." (Acts 7:8-9.) It may be, however, that all of those before Moses who are considered by the world to be patriarchs, as Abraham (Abra. 1:1-4, 2:11; D & C 86:8-11), were both ordained and natural patriarchs. (D & C 107:38-53.) (Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, 2d ed. [Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1966], 559.)

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8: 32)
Seek for truth everyday! =)
FAITH 3/27/2006 01:51:00 AM
And now as I said concerning faith—faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true. (Alma 32:21)
Inconspicuous 3/27/2006 12:39:00 AM
I met Sariah last year. It took a while before I got to know this girl personally. But before we became friends, I did a lot of cheezy stuff for her. One was this ambigram of my name and hers (SARIAH), which I posted as my primary picture in my friendster account. She never noticed it until several months later. =)

MY FIRST AMBIGRAM 3/23/2006 11:32:00 AM
The first ambigram i made, of course, is of my name, "FELVIR". My name is a combination of my parents' names, Felipe and Virginia. The first one I didn't really like the first one i made, so I created another version sometime later.
